We’ve linked up with Black Veil Brides for this exclusive capsule collection of glow-in-the-dark tees and hoodies, Bleeders varsity jackets and so much more…
Black Veil Brides frontman Andy Black takes us inside a "personal love letter" on his new solo album, The Ghost Of Ohio.
Last Friday, Andy Black finally announced his long-awaited second solo album The Ghost Of Ohio, as well as unveiling a brand-new single and video, Westwood Road.
While we've got to wait until April 12 to hear The Ghost Of Ohio in full, we decided to quiz Andy about absolutely everything on the record in an exclusive track-by-track, which is available to read in full in the new issue of Kerrang!. And there's one song in particular that really caught our attention…
“It’s a personal love letter," Andy explains. "I’ve described myself in all these different ways [throughout the course of the track-by-track interview], so you can imagine how difficult it must be for my wife, my soulmate and partner, to deal with all of those emotions. I wanted to write a song thanking her for being there for me so much, and for the love that I feel for her. We’ve gone through so much, from being crazy-ass party monsters, to living in a shit-hole apartment when we were first dating with no money, to living the life we have now. It’s been wonderful to go through that process and to be able to write a song that says, ‘I love you, I’m sorry for being so crazy when we were younger and I’m looking forward to the rest of our life together.’”
Awwwww!
Meanwhile, of the record as a whole, Andy says: “The Ghost Of Ohio is the next step. It’s a full embrace of my long-held passion for imagination, stretching back to when I discovered my dad’s KISS trading cards in the basement and walked my neighbourhood streets dressed up like Batman.”
Check out Westwood Road below, and pre-order The Ghost Of Ohio to get an instant grat download of the single.
