Billie Eilish has just thrown things back to 2004 by listening to It Dies Today’s A Threnody For Modern Romance on her Instagram…
Having performed with none other than Paramore last month, as well as Dave Grohl at the end of 2022, Billie Eilish is continuing to show her love for rock and metal at the moment.
The pop megastar took to her Instagram stories earlier today to share a video from a car that is presumably driving around Los Angeles, and the short clip is soundtracked by the 2004 song A Threnody For Modern Romance by Buffalo metalcore crew It Dies Today.
The band have been out of action for a while now, but are set to reunite for a show at September’s Furnace Fest – where they may even be playing new music. Taking to Twitter last month, IDT teased: “Just wrote the most objectively dumb heavy song we’ve ever written. Y’all will probably hear it sooner than later and then spin kick everything in sight.”
Given she’s clearly a fan, then, wonder if we’ll see Billie also rocking up at Furnace Fest to catch the band live, or even join for an onstage collab? Alternatively, Billie is headlining this month’s Reading & Leeds – so watch this space to see if she brings the heavy there. Hey, you never know…
