Hear Cavetown team up with chloe moriondo on new single Sailboat, taken from this month’s Running With Scissors album.
With two weeks to go now until the release of his album Running With Scissors, Cavetown has unveiled a brand-new single.
Entitled Sailboat, the track hears Robin Skinner joining forces with chloe moriondo to tackle the topic of ‘the nervous excitement of new love, that fragile moment when the desire to protect someone makes you hesitate to leave a mark’, according to a press release. Over on Instagram, they write that they’re “so proud of this killer song i made with one of my best friends @chloemoriondo. my band and i are suffering trying to learn it for the live set at the moment but it’s GOING TO RIP!! thank you to my inspiration @underscores for glittering this up – it was so awesome to work with you and see your ideas come together.”
Previously speaking about Running With Scissors as a whole, Robin said he hoped that fans would “enter this new era with me and not feel like it’s for kids. Because I’m not a kid anymore. I want it to feel like we’re moving forward together.” Robin added that they also wanted to “make myself sound more brave. And I wanted to impress people with my voice, like, ‘Wow, he’s actually got some pipes.’”
