Disney+ have shared a new poster of Ewan McGregor reprising his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi, plus the upcoming series’ official release date.
With The Book Of Boba Fett wrapping up this week, Disney+ have just confirmed that Star Wars fans won't have to wait long for another TV instalment from a galaxy far, far away: the Obi-Wan Kenobi series will be arriving on May 25.
While it's somewhat surprising that the next Lucasfilm series isn't premiering on Star Wars Day (May the fourth), Obi-Wan Kenobi is still only three months away now. And though details are mostly under wraps at this point, what has been revealed so far is already pretty damn exciting: that Ewan McGregor is reprising his role as the Jedi Master, as well as Hayden Christensen as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader. The series is set 10 years after Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith, with Obi-Wan presumably trying to come to terms with what went down with Anakin Skywalker.
Also joining the cast of Obi-Wan Kenobi are Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie.
