“I’m freaking out!” Linkin Park’s new album From Zero hits Number One in the UK charts
See Mike Shinoda and Emily Armstrong accepting their trophy from the Official Charts to celebrate Linkin Park’s new album From Zero hitting Number One.
Check out the latest video by Philadelphian indie rock supergroup Big Nothing.
Philly's Big Nothing aren't just a lot of fun to listen to -- they seem like a fun band to be in. The members of the indie rock quartet have a considerable alt-rock pedigree -- guitarists Pat Graham and Matt Quinn played in Spraynard and Crybaby respectively, bassist Liz Parsons was in Casual, and drummer Chris Jordan used to play in Young Livers -- and trade of vocal duties at random. Add the fact that the band play the kind of heartfelt, cinematic indie punk that thrived in the '90s underground, and you get the kind of band whose every song makes you wish you could jam with them.
If you don't feel that way now, the band's new video for Waste My Time, a track off of their upcoming EP titled Chris, will get you there. From Big Nothing's white overalls to Pat Graham angrily pitching a copy of Infinite Jest into the woods, Waste My Time feels like a snapshot of indie rock in the American subconscious. Of course, that also means it's goofy, kind of bizarre, and super entertaining.
