Album review: Feeder – Black / Red
Place your bets! Feeder put their shirts on a sprawling double album – and end up winning big…
“It feels like the right time to let people rediscover it again…” Feeder are reissuing their 2002 album Comfort In Sound, and heading off on an autumn headline tour.
Feeder have announced a special Comfort In Sound reissue and UK headline tour.
The duo – Grant Nicholas and Taka Hirose – have remastered their 2002 fourth LP and will be releasing it on September 12 via BMG, before heading out on the road and performing it in full for the first (and, according to a press release, “possibly only”) time ever.
Frontman Grant says that Comfort In Sound “is an album very close to our hearts and now feels like the right time to re-release it and let people rediscover it again or for the first time.
“We hit a brick wall after losing Jon [Lee, late drummer], so as
a writer I decided to put all those mixed feeling and emotions into writing
songs of recovery. Those compositions became the Comfort In Sound album and I
think it opened both myself up as a writer and the depth and soul of Feeder as
a band.”
