Foo Fighters Are Teasing The Return Of Their Own Festival

Fresh from the announcement of their 25th anniversary U.S. tour this year, Foo Fighters have started teasing that their self-curated 'Jam' festival will also be returning in 2020.

The rock titans have previously put on two epic Cal Jams in 2017 and 2018, with the latter even hosting the very special Nirvana reunion. Speaking to Kerrang! right after Cal Jam 2018, Dave Grohl revealed that the stress levels were pretty high on the day – not least because he plays such a big part in arranging it.

“It was crazy!" he said. "But one of the great things about Cal Jam is that it really is a gathering of all our friends. And it was the same the previous year – we basically invite all of our friends to come and join us at the festival. It really is a celebration of a community of musicians. It’s basically a big backyard barbecue that 30,000 people come to. It’s a reunion, and it’s not every day that you get to gather all those people in one place. So I just raced around on a golf cart and tried to catch as much as I could.”

This time, Foos' next 'Jam' festival is seemingly set to take place in Washington, D.C. – which is of course a place of significance for their frontman, who not only visited the city's 9:30 Club as a fan "hundreds of times" and "saw some shows that changed [his] life" there, but also cut his teeth at the venue with legendary hardcore punks Scream.

Foo Fighters have simply said that news on the festival will be "coming soon", so stay tuned…
