Album review: Greywind – Severed Heart City
After a nine-year wait, siblings Steph and Paul O’Sullivan return supercharged, with a deep well of emotion to draw from on long-awaited second album.
Ahead of September’s Severed Heart City album, Greywind have unveiled a new single, Moon, which was actually written a looooong time ago…
Greywind have just unveiled a “comforting” single, Moon.
Taken from their new album Severed Heart City – which is due out on September 19 via FLG – guitarist Paul O’Sullivan explains that the track was actually “written before our first album was even released so it’s been a song that has been through a lot with us and we can’t wait for it to finally be free for the world to hear. It’s a song about longing for someone and hoping they’re thinking about you, too.”
“I always picture myself sitting on a windowsill, looking up at the moon and dreaming that the person I’m thinking about is doing the exact same thing at that moment,” adds vocalist Steph O’Sullivan. “If you’re in a long distance relationship or even a friendship with someone far away, it’s comforting to look at the moon knowing they’re under it, too.”
