A24 have announced some new cast additions to upcoming horror MaXXXine – the third in their X film franchise.
Halsey has joined the star-studded cast for upcoming A24 horror MaXXXine.
The third instalment of the Mia Goth-led X franchise – following last year’s X and Pearl – MaXXXine will also star Elizabeth Debicki, Moses Sumney, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, Lily Collins, Giancarlo Esposito and Kevin Bacon.
According to Deadline, this next film from writer/director Ti West ‘reverses the franchise’s trajectory through time to pick with Maxine after the violent events of X, as their sole survivor continues her journey towards fame, setting out to make it as an actress in 1980s Los Angeles’. We don’t yet know what character Halsey will be playing.
Of course, we’ve already seen Halsey’s acting chops in If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power’s accompanying film, while elsewhere the musician stars in the 2023 movie Americana alongside Sydney Sweeney.
Posting about MaXXXine, Halsey simply tweeted: “So excited!!”
