Jinjer announce new album Duél
Jinjer will release their new album Duél early next year – listen to new single Kafka now...
Jinjer will no longer be playing Bloodstock festival this weekend due to issues surrounding travel and COVID restrictions.
Ukrainian metalcore crew Jinjer have been forced to drop out of this weekend's Bloodstock festival.
Jinjer were scheduled to perform on the main stage this Saturday, but in a video posted to the festival's Twitter this morning (August 9), the band have announced that despite all their efforts, they will not be able to visit in the UK.
In the two-minute clip, Jinjer explain that although the UK has lifted many restrictions for travellers, the same rules don't apply for those visiting from the Ukraine. Adding in quarantine time and acquiring visas, they say it's just not possible to play Bloodstock this year.
"We did our best to come and play for you, but the situation is out of our control," says bassist Eugene Abdukhanov in the video. "Despite all our efforts, there is no solution. We’re very, very sad to announce that Jinjer are out of Bloodstock 2021. But, guys, don’t worry. We miss you too and we will pay you back with a number of performances in 2022."
Bloodstock takes place at Catton Park, Derbyshire, from August 11-15, featuring five days of music for the very first time. Across the weekend, BOA will host Devin Townsend, Kreator, Judas Priest, Cradle Of Filth, Skindred, Saxon, The Wildhearts, Venom Prison, Loathe, Napalm Death, While She Sleeps, Orange Goblin, Conjurer, Svalbard and more.
