Kid Kapichi have announced some biiiiiiig 2024 plans.
The quartet will be dropping their third album There Goes The
Neighbourhood on March 15 via Spinefarm, and will head out on an extensive UK
and European headline tour shortly after its release.
Frontman Jack Wilson calls the record “our best work ever”,
explaining that: “We put everything into this record, but actively decided not
to stray too far from the path of Here’s What You Could Have Won, as we felt
there was still more ground to be covered and honed on that vibe.
“Lyrically and musically, it’s more concise, meaningful and
deliberate, which ties everything together really well; it feels like a
collection of songs from the same family.”
To preview the LP, Kid Kapichi have unveiled new single Tamagotchi,
which is a “song about turning 30 and feeling for the first time like your life
is running away from you As I’ve gotten older, I’ve found myself being more
nostalgic about the past and the ‘good times’. This song is a homage to those
times and fond memories whilst stubbornly clawing onto them.”
