“I’m freaking out!” Linkin Park’s new album From Zero hits Number One in the UK charts
See Mike Shinoda and Emily Armstrong accepting their trophy from the Official Charts to celebrate Linkin Park’s new album From Zero hitting Number One.
As this year’s short-but-sweet From Zero World Tour starts to wrap up, Linkin Park clearly have some very big plans on the horizon…
It’s an absolutely massive week for Linkin Park. Not only are the band returning with comeback album From Zero this Friday, but they’re also seemingly teasing some giant shows.
Similar to what twenty one pilots did earlier this year for The Clancy World Tour, LP have teamed up with the venues they look set to be playing on an upcoming From Zero World Tour, with each spot taking to social media to share photos with a ‘COUNTING FROM ZERO’ banner or sign located somewhere around or outside the venue. They don’t explicitly say Linkin Park, but given the name of the album, it seems pretty reasonable to put two and two together.
Among those places – and there’s already plenty, from North America to Europe – is London’s legendary Wembley Stadium, which is going to be incredibly special. It looks like the official confirmation is dropping tomorrow, Thursday, November 14 at 12pm UK time (7am ET / 6am CT / 4am PT) so set those alarms now…
Via the always-awesome @LPLive, check out the current list of venues who have gotten in on the teasing and are participating in the online fun:
From Zero is due out on November 15 via Warner.
“Before Linkin Park, our first band name was Xero,” Mike Shinoda previously explained. “This album title refers to both this humble beginning and the journey we’re currently undertaking. Sonically and emotionally, it is about past, present, and future – embracing our signature sound, but new and full of life. It was made with a deep appreciation for our new and longtime bandmates, our friends, our family, and our fans. We are proud of what Linkin Park has become over the years, and excited about the journey ahead.”
