Watch the haunting new video for Mimi Barks' MIRTAZAPINE
Mimi Barks describes the latest clip from her THIS IS DOOM TRAP album as "A fever dream slipping into consciousness..."
The ultra-limited pieces feature recreations of all the DEADGIRL’s tattoos, and the outfit from her Graspop show.
We like Mimi Barks a lot. Partly because, we never know what the German doom-trap queen is going to get up to next. When we hung out with her at a show in Berlin earlier this year, she got us to pick tattoos she was sorting for a pair of fans, but told us not to tell them what we'd chosen. That sort of thing.
Anyway, she's just announced a pair of specially handcrafted Mimi Barks dolls, made in partnership with London based artist AprilRose Art, and feature, among other things, detailed replicas of her tattoos.
“The outfit and make-up are inspired by my Graspop Metal Meeting 2023 Festival show look," she says. "The outfit is designed by up-and-coming designer Y.A.N.G. and customised by artist vaporkore who both live and create in the Hackney Wick creative warehouse district.”
Each doll is onsale for £235. If you want one – or to pre-order one of the 'Mystery Dolls' also up for grabs – head to her site.
Mimi Plays Misery Loves Company Festival in Bristol this Saturday, along with Twin Atlantic, YONAKA, Witch Fever, Heriot, The XCERTS and many more.
