Moodring drops Masochist Machine from forthcoming second album
Watch the video for Moodring’s latest heavy banger Masochist Machine, before Hunter Young unveils new record death fetish in March…
With just over a month to go until the release of new album death fetish, Moodring has dropped a track about “the breakdown of a relationship where a shared creative world became a source of manipulation and envy”.
Moodring has unveiled a brand-new single, Anywhere But Here.
Following Masochist Machine and Half-Life, Hunter Young’s latest effort is about “the breakdown of a relationship where a shared creative world became a source of manipulation and envy. The chorus lyric is coming from a place of irony, but also represents a longing for freedom and steadiness.”
All three tracks are taken from forthcoming album death fetish, which is due out on March 27 via SharpTone Records.
Speaking about bringing this material to life while dealing with a neuro-immune illness that he was diagnosed with in 2022, Hunter explains: “I own a studio, distro and I manage both of my bands [the other one being PSYCHO-FRAME]. I stay busy. I just want to make authentic records. I don’t care about trends. I’m a producer, so I know when something’s fake. I know when the drums are programmed, when the vocals are tuned to death.
“I didn’t want to put out an album about the most human experience – losing control of your body and mind – and have it be fake. We did the whole thing with real amps, drums and takes.”
