Here’s the setlist from NOFX’s final-ever show
Members of Foo Fighters, Bad Religion, Rancid and more came out to help California punk legends NOFX say So Long And Thanks For All The Shoes at their farewell show last night…
…onstage in Las Vegas, no less.
Billboard reports that during their set at the Punk Rock Bowling & Music Festival in Las Vegas on Sunday, NOFX made jokes about the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting on October 1 last year that resulted in the deaths of 58 people.
“I guess you only get shot in Vegas if you’re in a country band,” guitarist Eric Melvin is on record as saying. “At least they were country fans and not punk rock fans,” was frontman Fat Mike's response. Yikes.
Stone Brewing Co., the San Diego Brewery behind NOFX’s Punk In Drublic beer and the music festival of the same name, has severed ties with the band. “We at Stone Brewing are aware of NOFX’s insensitive and indefensible statements this past weekend. As a result, we are severing all our ties with NOFX, including festival sponsorship and the production of our collaboration beer,” the brewery said in a statement. They've also announced their decision to donate profits from NOFX’s beer to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Foundation, an organisation that provides trauma counselling for officers and first responders.
