Sharon Osbourne: "Ozzy Can’t Wait To Get The Green Light From Doctor To Tour Again"

Sharon Osbourne has addressed Ozzy’s ill health while appearing on U.S. TV show The Talk. The wife and manager of the legendary singer was extremely candid when talking about how having to postpone his UK and European tour for a second time has affected the former Black Sabbath man.

“We were watching something the other day about a band on the road,” said Sharon on the programme, “and it showed them all traveling on the tour bus. He said, ‘Turn it off. I can’t watch it.’ He had tears in his eyes and he’s like, ‘I miss my life so much.’ He just can’t wait to get the okay from the doctor to let him go.”

Ozzy has had a string of health problems since the beginning of the year. In January, he postponed the entirety of his UK and European tour after he was diagnosed with a severe upper-respiratory infection that then developed into pneumonia.

While he was recovering from that, he slipped at home in LA frontman fell at his Los Angeles home, injuring his back, neck and shoulders and dislodging the metal rods he had inserted after his ATV accident in 2003.

Just last week, Sharon slammed tabloid newspapers for spreading rumours about her husband’s health and speculating that he was, among other things, on “a crazy town to death.”

“I’m not lost for words a lot, as you all know,” she said, “but why do people just say this was true? How cold and callous are those headlines? Where’s people’s empathy? It’s not true, by any stretch of the imagination.

“I’ve been open with everyone and so has Ozzy. He had a terrible, terrible bout of bad luck with his health, one thing after another. And then after his fall that he had, it’s been awful for him.

“But he’s getting better. He’s recuperating. Why be like, ‘He’s on a crazy train…’ How disrespectful to anyone. Ozzy ain’t going nowhere.”

As ever, we wish Ozzy a speedy recovery and look forward to catching him on tour soon.
