Clown on Slipknot’s year ahead: “We got a new album”
Clown is looking ahead to a 2025 that includes “no complaining” and a new record – but he doesn’t mean Look Outside Your Window, which he says was “never a Slipknot album”.
Slipknot’s keyboardist and sampler Craig Jones has left the band, they have announced.
Updated: The social media post announcing Craig’s departure was deleted, and now it seems as though they’re teasing a new member…
Original story: Slipknot have parted ways with sampler and keyboardist Craig Jones.
The band posted a brief statement on social media today (June 7), which read: "To our fans, Slipknot is announcing that we have parted ways with Craig Jones. We wish Jones all the best for the future."
Craig had been a part of Slipknot since 1996, adding electronic embellishments to all seven full-lengths, and his spiked gimp mask has been a signature part of the band's visual aesthetic.
Earlier today, Slipknot announced that Clown would be sitting out upcoming tour dates while he heads home to support his wife “through some health issues”.
Slipknot will headline Download Festival this Sunday.
