System Of A Down are continuing to bring people's attention to those in need in Artsakh and Armenia: after raising $600,000 for the Armenia Fund with the release of their 2020 songs Protect The Land and Genocidal Humanoidz, the band have now announced a livestream event to raise money for severely injured soldiers.
SOAD's upcoming stream will air this Saturday (January 30) at 9am PST / 12pm EST / 5pm GMT, with a livestream, "list of special guests", and the premiere of the music video for Genocidal Humanoidz all planned.
"The freedom fighting soldiers of Artsakh and Armenia have suffered war crimes at the hands of Azerbaijan, later abetted by Turkey," reads System's statement announcing the event. "Even after the ceasefire signed on November 10, 2020, those heroes wounded in the recent conflict remain in dire need of prosthetics, advanced treatment, and medical care.
