“I’m freaking out!” Linkin Park’s new album From Zero hits Number One in the UK charts

Musicians Christopher Windley and Mathias Northway have shared their plans for a new Simpsons-inspired music venue opening in Melbourne in January 2022.
A new music venue, Shotkickers, is set to open in Thornbury, Melbourne next year.
The 200-capacity room is being overhauled and renamed by musicians Christopher Windley and Mathias Northway, who picked the title of Shotkickers as a reference to The Simpsons.
“Shotkickers is a band venue Marge visits where the men are super rowdy yet super gentlemanly, and it seemed like a great mantra,” Christopher explains to The Music. “I also love Simpsons shitposting so hopefully I can claim to own the biggest Simpsons meme in town."
As well as its excellent new name, Shotkickers (formerly Swamplands Bar / Tago Mago) will have a bigger stage, new band room, booth seating and a fresh kitchen menu when it opens in January.
"The bar was welded by a muso," continues Christopher. "The stage was built by musos. The roof got painted by musos. Everyone is so excited to bring something fresh to the scene."
"While reimagining the venue we’ve had the artist experience at the forefront of every decision," adds Mathias. "Bands have had a rough trot of late and many incredible musicians live a stone’s throw away. We love the idea that bands could literally walk to the venue, backline is provided, booze is flowing and the sound system is top notch."
