Fresh from bringing out Mikey Way to play bass on Saturday over the weekend, Fall Out Boy delivered another couple of incredible surprises at the Los Angeles date of their So Much For (Tour) Dust on July 3.
This time around, the band’s mammoth, 30-song setlist played at the BMO Stadium featured two songs they’ve never, ever played live before. Both taken from 2007 classic Infinity On High, FOB dusted off I’ve Got All This Ringing In My Ears And None On My Fingers on the piano following a partial cover of The Police’s Every Breath You Take, and then later on in the set – during the Magic 8-Ball section of the show – they unleashed Bang The Doldrums. Whoa!
Elsewhere, Fall Out Boy dug out plenty of other gems, from early favourites like Homesick At Space Camp, to Sophomore Slump Or Comeback Of The Year with William Beckett and Saturday with Adam T. Siska, to partial covers of Journey’s Don’t Stop Believin’ and Ozzy Osbourne’s Crazy Train.
