Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers and more to play LA wildfire benefit concert
Some of the biggest names in music are joining forces to raise funds for those affected by the ongoing fires in Los Angeles.
Red Hot Chili Peppers played a greatest hits set in front of Egypt's famous pyramids
On March 15, Red Hot Chili Peppers made history by joining the very special club of bands who have played the Pyramids Of Giza in Egypt. It was actually the band's first ever show in the country, and they certainly made it a night to remember, playing under the stars for thousands of fans.
The band's 20-song set was precedoed by Eric Dolphy's God Bless The Child, and included a large helping of Chili Peppers' biggest hits including Can't Stop, Dani California, Under The Bridge and Give It Away. The band also covered I Wanna Be Your Dog by The Stooges and (aptly) Pyramid Song by Radiohead.
RHCP join the likes of Frank Sinatra, Scorpions, Grateful Dead and Shakira in the group of bands who have previously played at the Pyramids of Giza.
The whole show was livestreamed on YouTube and you can watch it below. Skip to 33:09 for the music.
