CBS Los Angeles reports that American Head Charge Cameron Heacock has been arrested after being found to be in possession of over a dozen stolen guitars.
The 40-year-old was pulled over in Costa Mesa, California by police on Wednesday after allegedly driving a stolen van out of a motel. The van was full of stolen property, and led officers to a storage unit where more stolen things (including thirteen guitars and a motorcycle, no less) were discovered.
Heacock is in custody at Central Men's Jail in Santa Ana. His first court appearance is later today.
This isn't the first bit of bad luck to come American Head Charge's way: bassist Chad Hanks passed away in November at only 46. He had reportedly been battling a terminal illness in the months before to his death.
In 2005 guitarist Bryan Ottoson died of an accidental prescription drug overdose while on tour in support of The Feeding album.
