Hot off the heels of his 5SOS bandmate Michael Clifford’s first solo effort, Calum Hood has just unveiled new single Don’t Forget You Love Me.

The 5 Seconds Of Summer bassist is also now showing off what he can do away from the Aussie pop-rock titans, going down a more moody yet poppy route on this first taste from his debut solo album ORDER chaos ORDER (which is due out June 13 via Island EMI).

Calum tells Clash of his influences: “My favourite kind of music is melancholic and sad for the most part. I feel I tend to gravitate towards those styles more.”

He also shares that, “I wanted to straddle the line between things being organic and things feeling digital and synthetic by using a lot of instrumentation. I was listening to a lot of The Magnetic Fields and Interpol during the record too, and more left-leaning artists, where the main focus was on storytelling or was heavily led by sonics. My record is supposed to lie somewhere between all those worlds.”
