Green Day have released a surprise Christmas song, Xmas Time Of The Year.

New music from Billie Joe Armstrong and co? Best. Christmas. Present. Ever. The band have posted the track along with the caption, “Happy Holidays from Green Day!” Check out their festive jam below, and let us know what you think in the comments!

Could this be a sign that Green Day are working together on further material? Back in May, Billie Joe spoke out about new material, revealing that things were going “in the right direction” – but we haven’t heard much news on that front since. Fingers crossed for an update in the New Year, eh?
