Dewey Finn’s still got it! Backstage at SNL over the weekend, Jack Black showed off his School Of Rock knowledge, before reuniting with some of the cast for his monologue…
As well as getting his emo on for a Black Parade-inspired sketch, Jack Black showed his love (and impressive memory) for School Of Rock on SNL this weekend.
Backstage at Saturday Night Live, the comedian and musician – dressed in that aforementioned emo outfit – hit TikTok to lip sync Legend Of The Rent from the beloved 2003 movie, in a new clip that has been viewed over 10 million times already. Absolutely nailing it, Jack mimes from ‘But the legend, of the rent was way past due’ through to ‘How can you kick me out… of what is mine?’ including his classic, hilarious bass and riff impressions.
Jack also paid tribute to School Of Rock during his opening monologue in the show, with old cast members Brian Falduto (Billy), Rivkah Reyes (Katie) and Z Infante (Gordon) there in the audience to celebrate.
