In the bizarre video for their new song, Kentucky hardcore upstarts Knocked Loose get a bad case of the blues.
One of the things that make Knocked Loose exciting -- besides their unhinged brand of shrieking hardcore -- is that they're not predictable when it comes to art and presentation. Rather than fill their videos with their friends showing off tattoos and yelling at the camera, the Kentucky quintet goes weird and metaphorical, mixing live footage with strange and inspiring imagery.
Case in point, the band has just announced the release of a new EP yesterday, and have today dropped the first track in the form of a bizarre and compelling video, directed by Max Moore. The song, Mistakes Like Fractures, is a furious display of the band's unique sound, complete with all the raw energy and gut-punch riffs one expects from them. But the track is especially powerful when coupled with the video, which seems to be about living in an antiseptic world with no one but yourself to talk to...until something insidious and uncontrollable and overwhelmingly blue creeps in.

Knocked Loose begin their U.S. tour with The Acacia Strain, Harm's Way, Higher Power, and Sanction tonight, so fans might get a chance to see Mistakes Like Fractures in person. They'll also hit the road with A Day To Remember soon afterwards, so if you've never seen the band before, this is the year.
