Just over one week on from it actually happening, the official pro-shot footage of Post Malone and Nirvana – aka “Post Nirvana” – performing at SNL50: The Homecoming Concert has gone up on YouTube.

The surprise onstage collab, which saw Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear join the rap superstar to tear through Smells Like Teen Spirit live from New York’s Radio City Music Hall, is available for all to see, following its official broadcast via Peacock on Friday, February 14.

And fans in the comments are loving what they’re seeing – not only praising Post Malone for the job he did, but also the surviving Nirvana members for how much they’re clearly loving the whole thing, too.

In 2020, Post Malone raised millions of dollars for charity through his lockdown Nirvana tribute livestream. Dave Grohl went on to reflect how well the rapper did: “I don’t get to see other people do Nirvana songs often, and he seemed perfectly comfortable with it, and it sounded great… Even the die-hard Nirvana people that I know were, like, ‘Dude, he’s kind of killing it right now.’”
