Here’s what some of your favourite rock stars dressed as for Halloween 2024
From Stranger Things to Alien to IT, the rock and metal scene made sure to embrace this year’s spooky season…
Papa Roach will mark 20 years of Infest in style
Next year, Papa Roach's breakthrough album Infest will celebrate its 20th anniversary. Yes, twenty years! And, let's be honest, it still absolutely slams. Last Resort, Dead Cell, Between Angels And Insects... these are stone cold nu-metal ragers, and it's no surprise that the band are planning some kind of party.
“2020, we’re going to celebrate the 20-year anniversary of our album Infest," frontman Jacoby Shaddix told Z93. "And so, April 25th, 2020, we will be having a celebration.”
If they're planning on playing the album in full, it won't be the first time. On Papa Roach's 2015 UK headline tour, they belted out Infest in its entirety at the Roundhouse in London to mark the album's 15th anniversary.
Elsewhere in the interview, Jacoby discussed the influence and impact of Infest's smash hit single Last Resort.
“Music can be a bright spot to people — it can be a source of strength," said Jacoby. "It can be a source of hope to people and Papa Roach has been a source of strength and hope to people out there.
“Our first single, Last Resort, was about… One of my best friends, he tried to kill himself. We lived in a house together. I’m 17 years old, and my best friend tried to kill himself. And it was a traumatic experience. I sing the song from a first-person point of view just to make it… this is how I write music. It’s just crazy how many people have used that song as a source of strength.
"This music is purpose-driven, and I know that there’s a reason why I’m here on this planet creating music and creating art with my brothers in Papa Roach."
Last weekend, Papa Roach played Firestarter at Sonic Temple festival in tribute to Keith Flint.
They are joining Shinedown and Asking Alexandria on tour across North America later this year.
