The first part of Rage Against The Machine's U.S. tour has now been postponed "due to the current outbreak and ban on public gatherings".
Following the postponement of Coachella and therefore their headline set at the April festivals, Rage Against The Machine have now confirmed that the first part of their upcoming U.S. tour is also now affected by the coronavirus outbreak.
The rap-metal titans join an ever-growing list of bands – including My Chemical Romance, Pearl Jam and Guns N' Roses – who have been forced to push back tour dates, with Rage confirming that their dates between March 26 and May 20 won't be happening.
"Due to the current outbreak and ban on public gatherings we are postponing the first part of our tour with Run The Jewels," they say. "The safety and health of those who come to our shows is of utmost importance to us. All previously purchased tickets will be honoured for newly scheduled shows. As it stands, the July and August tour is still on. We will be in touch soon about rescheduled dates."

Of course, Rage are due to hit the UK and Europe over the summer after their U.S. run – including headlining Reading & Leeds 2020.
The festival stated yesterday that their August event is, at this point in time, still going ahead.
“At this time, Reading/Leeds Festival is going ahead as planned,” they posted in a statement. “Please be assured that the safety and health of all staff and visitors is our main priority and we are implementing recommendations and instructions appropriately.
“We are closely monitoring official guidance from the World Health Organisation, Public Health England, UK Government, local public health authorities and are working with event promoters and organisers as information evolves.
“If you are attending, please follow the most up to date information on the Coronavirus that is available at: World Health Organisation, UK Government and the NHS.”
