In partnership with eco-friendly platform Serenade, the BRITs have announced an NFT collection to celebrate this year’s winners…
There's already a whole load of new stuff happening for this year's BRIT Awards, and they're continuing this forward-thinking approach with a brand-new NFT collection in partnership with Serenade.
To celebrate the 2022 awards winners – who will be announced on the night of the ceremony, which is happening at The O2 in London on February 8 – the BRITs will share a collection of NFTs by digital artist MRE, costing £10 each and with proceeds going towards The BRIT Trust (also, those who pick them up will get the chance to win VIP tickets to next year's event).
"Working with The BRIT Awards to create something special to celebrate this year’s BRITs winners is a great opportunity to bring digital art and NFTs to a wider audience," says MRE. "This collaboration is helping develop new creative possibilities and to push the boundaries of what can be done to make music fans part of a wider experience."
"Serenade couldn't be more excited to extend The BRIT Awards' legacy of innovation and philanthropy into the NFT world with simplified eco-friendly digital collectibles, commemorating 2022's award winners with digital trophies designed by the wonderful MRE," continues Serenade's Max Shand. "It’s a pleasure to work with such a credible and forward looking institution as The BRITs, and we look forward to a long, strategic partnership."

Måneskin have been nominated in the International Group and International Song categories this year, with the band enthusing: “We are overjoyed with the news that we have received our first BRIT nominations today. It has been such a phenomenal year for us, but one that we’ve been working toward from the moment we started playing together on the streets of Rome as teenagers. We want to say ‘Grazie Mille’ to our creative peers in the BRITs Voting Academy. And we gratefully thank and share this moment with our families and the people of Italy that have supported us from the start, and the legion of new fans that we have connected with across the world.”
