Mark Hoppus is going on a book tour for his new memoir, Fahrenheit-182
blink-182 man Mark Hoppus will be taking his new memoir Fahrenheit-182 to theatres around the U.S. for some special ‘An evening with…’ events.
Laci Kaye Booth covered blink-182's I Miss You on American Idol
American Idol contestant Laci Kaye Booth channelled the power of Tom DeLonge and Mark Hoppus in her vocal performance of blink-182's I Miss You on last week's show.
The singer delivered a powerful rendition of the 2003 melancholic punk ballad, complete with string quartet, bowling over judges Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie and Katy Perry.
“You sing timelessly," offered Katy following the performance. "You are the definition, in my own opinion, of idol."
Lionel and Luke poured out further platitudes without anyone actually referencing that she just covered blink-182. You'd have thought that Katy, who spent the early days of her career on Warped Tour, might mention that Laci reworked one of pop-punk's biggest bands into something more palatable for mainstream American TV in 2019, but no.
Here's hoping Laci keeps the rock'n'roll dream alive and delivers a heartwarming performance of Napalm Death's You Suffer this week.
