Green Day will be playing a free date at The Palladium next week – and you can be there as an extra in the band’s new film…
Following February’s call for “punks, alts, hardcore, emo and rockers” in Oklahoma City, Green Day have just put out another exciting casting announcement for their forthcoming movie New Years Rev.
The band will be playing a free show at The Palladium in Los Angeles next week – on Tuesday, March 25 – and they want a whole bunch of fans to come along and take part in a New Year’s Eve concert scene in the film. Green Day will be there to perform “a few songs – a lot of times (and maybe a few others)” and they estimate that filming will take between 10 to 11 hours (“But don’t worry, we’ve got sandwiches and drinks covered,” they add).
You can sign up here to be in with a chance of taking part, though you must be over the age of 18. In terms of wardrobe, the description reads: “Embrace your upscale New Year’s Eve punk vibe! Come camera-ready already in your outfit including accessories, footwear in your favorite Green Day merchandise.” And, unsurprisingly, any photos/videos of the show are prohibited: “You further agreed that you shall not post any material in connection with the Picture, including but not limited to photographs, captions, updates or comments, to any social media or industry websites including, without limitation, Facebook, Twitter, X, TikTok.”
